Closed gantries permit product handling from process to process by working overhead. This enables use of floor space for conveyors, process machines, packaging componentes, pick-from bins, and easier access for fault recovery.

This gantry robot takes loose stacks of flat cartons from a printing press/die cutter/stracker and feeds the stacks in the vertical hopper of a gluer or builds pallets of stacks.
