Robotic Palletizing Systems
Sage builds robotic palletizing systems for products that demand more than a standard case palletizer, including heavy, flexible, irregular and mixed-size loads.

Palletizing engineered around product behavior and load quality
Palletizing performance depends on how the product arrives, how it can be gripped, the stability of the finished load and the time available for every move. Sage evaluates those conditions before selecting a FANUC articulated robot, Sage gantry robot or coordinated multi-robot solution.
The complete cell may include product metering, orientation, pattern control, pallet dispensing, slip-sheet handling, end-of-arm tooling, conveyors, guarding and plant-system interfaces. Programming and factory testing confirm the sequence before installation.
Application data to define
- Product weight, surface and rigidity
- Infeed orientation and spacing
- Pallet pattern and maximum load height
- Pallet and slip-sheet quality
- Required cases, bags or units per minute
- SKU changeover and future product range
What the system can include
Difficult products
Handle bags, drums, pails, tires, rolls, panels and other products that require application-specific gripping.
Flexible load patterns
Program multiple SKUs, pallet sizes and stacking patterns with recipe-driven controls and changeover support.
Complete pallet flow
Integrate empty-pallet delivery, slip sheets, load discharge, stretch wrapping and warehouse interfaces as required.

Frequently asked questions
Can one robot palletize multiple production lines?
Often, yes. The answer depends on combined rate, travel distance, product presentation and load patterns. Sage models the sequence to determine whether one robot or multiple robots are appropriate.
Can Sage palletize heavy or non-boxed products?
Yes. Sage specializes in large, heavy and bulky material handling and develops custom tooling for products such as tires, rolls, drums, pails, bags and fabricated components.
