Industry automation
Industries We Automate
Sage applies heavy-duty robotic and automation engineering across industries where products are large, heavy, bulky, variable or difficult to handle safely.

Industry knowledge matters because products behave differently
Tires, rubber bales, paper rolls, metal products, lumber and packaged goods create very different gripping, motion and environmental requirements. Sage begins with the actual load and process rather than forcing every application into the same equipment template.
Our engineers evaluate payload, product variation, required rate, plant conditions, upstream and downstream equipment, controls standards and service needs. That discipline supports automation that fits both the industry and the specific facility.
Application data to define
- Product behavior and allowable contact
- Facility environment and utilities
- Required production rate and uptime
- Industry-specific quality requirements
- Plant controls and data standards
- Maintenance skills and service expectations
What the system can include
Heavy industrial products
Automate material movement for rubber, metals, pipe, sheet, rolls, lumber and other demanding loads.
Packaged and consumer goods
Integrate product flow, packaging, palletizing and warehouse transfer for high-mix operations.
Controlled manufacturing
Develop traceable handling and process interfaces for regulated or quality-sensitive production.
Frequently asked questions
Which industries does Sage serve?
Sage has experience in rubber and tire, plastics, paper and converting, roll handling, metals, distribution, food and beverage, pharmaceutical, lumber and other industrial manufacturing operations.
Does Sage use the same robot for every industry?
No. The platform and tooling are selected from the application requirements. Sage may recommend a custom gantry, FANUC articulated robot or coordinated system.
