Industrial automation applications
Machine Loading and Unloading Automation
Sage automates the transfer of parts and materials into and out of production equipment where weight, reach, heat, repetition or access makes manual handling difficult.

Coordinate robot motion with the entire machine cycle
Machine loading is a sequence of interdependent steps: locate the part, verify orientation, open or prepare the machine, load accurately, confirm the handoff and remove the completed workpiece. Sage engineers the tooling, fixtures, controls and recovery logic around that complete sequence.
Applications can involve presses, machining centers, test stations, finishing equipment and custom process machines. Gantry or FANUC platforms are selected based on payload, access, travel and the number of machines served.
Application data to define
- Machine cycle and access window
- Part condition before and after processing
- Required placement tolerance
- Fixture and chuck interfaces
- Heat, coolant, debris or contamination
- Buffering and fault-recovery requirements
What the system can include
Precise part placement
Tooling and fixtures control part location and orientation at each machine interface.
Multi-machine service
One robot can coordinate work between several machines, buffers and inspection stations when cycle times permit.
Process integration
PLC logic, robot programs and machine handshakes manage sequence, faults and safe access.

Frequently asked questions
Can Sage integrate with existing production machines?
Yes. Sage evaluates available electrical, controls and mechanical interfaces and can develop the robot, tooling, guarding and handshake logic required for existing equipment.
Can one robot tend more than one machine?
Yes when the combined machine cycles, travel time and buffer capacity fit within the production requirement. Simulation can help validate the arrangement.
